Sopranos Kristina Bachrach and Laura Strickling will be joined by pianists Daniel Schlosberg and Scott Wheeler on a program of contemporary American vocal music, including a world premiere by Scott Wheeler, at Chicago's Guarneri Hall. Based on Suzanne Cleary’s poem “A Piece of Bread,” the text of Wheeler’s work is a meditation on food and hunger. All proceeds from this concert will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository

Kristina will perform Schubert's "Der Hirt auf dem Felsen" with BASS artistic director Michael Brofman and clarinetist Narek Arutyunian. The concert will be available for streaming through BASS's Digital Concert Hall beginning at 7:30 pm EST.

 During the COVID-19 crisis Kristina appeared in on-line performances with the Agarita Chamber Ensemble, New England Music Camp, Berkshire Choral International, the Metropolis Ensemble, MIOpera, Avaloch Farms Music institute, Token Creek Music Festival, Pegasus, and the Artist Presentation Society of Saint Louis. She also performed in the on-line premiere of Njabulo Phungula's Lingering Echoes with the Thompson Street Opera Company.

And she will perform Bach Cantata BWV 165 "O heil'ges Geist und Wasserbad," under the baton of John Harbison.
